Odisea welcomes you to
SPRING.
This is a special time
of year for us, which we greet with much excitement - the beginning of what will
become a new Vintage! The brilliant mustard is in full bloom in the vineyards and
the vines are just starting to bud, re-awakening from their winter’s rest, a year
older and hopefully a year wiser. It is a time of great anticipation of what is
to come, watching the vines come back to life. It is also a time of great inspiration
as we begin to talk to our growers about the upcoming harvest and we begin to release
our first wines from the 2008 harvest.
All our wines are first offered exclusively to our mailing list customers on a first-come,
first-serve basis. We are announcing the release of three new wines with this mailing.

Dream Albarino
Our first wine from the 2008 vintage is our Dream Albarino!
This exotic Spanish white wine has great heritage in that these vines from Sueno
and Las Cerezas Vineyards in Lodi were propagated from cuttings brought back from
Galicia, Spain by Markus Bokisch. The wine is deliciously crisp and lively, showing
bright floral and citrus aromas and flavors. It is essentially Spring in a glass
and will serve well with all the seasonal foods you crave this spring and summer.
$18.00/bottle.

Two Rows Garnacha
We are also introducing the new vintage of our perennial favorite,
the 2007 Two Rows Garnacha. This is our version of the Grenache-based wines we love
from Northeastern Spain. The 2007 vintage hails from 28 year-old vines at Lewis
vineyard in Lodi’s Clements Hills and contains 15% Tempranillo from the same vineyard.
Bright cherry, berry and cola flavors dance on the tongue with a supple, sexy texture
and hints of toasty oak. $25.00/bottle.

Unusual Suspects
Finally, we celebrate the much anticipated release of our
newest red wine, the 2007 Unusual Suspects. For those of you who attended our Rose
party last year, we poured this wine as a barrel sample and many of you were trying
to convince us to bottle it immediately. Trust us you will like it even better now.
This is a blend of 100+ year Old Vine Carignane, Tempranillo and Grenache. Inspired
by blends from the Monstant region of Spain, this wine is a smooth drinking delight.
Wild strawberry, blueberries and vanilla cream aromas and flavors are matched with
an elegant, silky texture that makes for perfect spring and summer sipping. $20.00/bottle.

News
The 2008 Harvest marked many exciting changes for Odisea. We moved the winery to
our new location within Falcor Wine Cellar’s beautiful new state-of-the-art facility
in Napa Valley. This move brings us closer to the wine we make and the vineyards
we work with. This move gives us the opportunity to implement some new winemaking
techniques that we feel will result in better quality wines. We were able to hand
sort all of our red grapes this year with the help of a newly-christened sorting
table. This gives us the unique ability to insure that only the finest fruit makes
the cut for our wines. We are also aggressively improving our barrel program and
lengthening the barrel and bottle aging for our reds. We also began working with
several new vineyards in 2008. The wines they yielded are resting comfortably in
barrel at our new home.
In other eventful news, Mike Kuenz has left his longtime position as General Manager
of Willamette Valley Vineyards and Bacchus Fine Wines to focus his full attention
on Odisea. We are thrilled to have Mike full time, his expertise in sales and marketing
and his continued input on winemaking will no doubt be a great asset to our little
company as we move into the future. We are also pleased to tell you that we are
now offering tastings by appointment at the new facility. We can take you through
the winery tasting the current releases as well as barrel tasting in the cellar
with Adam. Just e-mail us at
bigvino@odiseawineco.com or give us a call at 925-915-1662 and we will be
glad to customize a special tasting odyssey for you!

2008 Spring Newsletter - New Releases!!!
Odisea welcomes you to SPRING. With the refreshing sounds, aromas and flavors of
the season bursting all around us, we offer you two new wines we feel capture this
spirit.
2007 Veritable Quandry White: This is a brand new wine for Odisea. It combines
our love and passion for the white wines from France’s Rhone Valley and Spain’s
signature white wine, Albarino, from the Galician Coast. Although these grapes are
not typically blended together, in our attempt to bring you the most exciting, interesting
and delicious wine possible, we gave it a try and discovered a little bit of magic
that is the 2007 Veritable Quandry White! The only Quandry here is how much you
can get your hands on! This is a seriously delicious dry white and represents a
sensational value in our Portfolio. Enjoy! This wine sells for $18 a bottle.
2006 Temporary Insanity: The other release we feel best represents the flavors
of spring is the third version of our Tempranillo-based red wine and perennial favorite
we call Temporary Insanity. With all of its vibrant, pure fruit flavors combined
with spice and toasty, smoky notes, it will be a great match with spring lamb, fresh
herbs and literally anything off the grill. While this wine drinks well now, we
feel it will benefit from cellaring for several years. Try one now and tuck a few
away for later. We think you’ll be glad you did. This wine sells for $30 a bottle.
As spring reminds us of new beginnings, we have a new beginning of our own to announce.
We will be moving to a brand new state-of-the-art winery facility in Napa Valley
for the 2008 harvest. We are constantly looking for ways we can continue to improve
and gain more control. This move gives us the opportunity to implement some new
wine-making techniques that we feel will result in better quality wines. We look
forward to hosting many of you as we will begin doing wine tasting and barrel tasting
by appointment in the very near future.
For those of you in the Bay Area or those of you who want to visit, we will be having
our Second Annual Rose Release Party on June 7. We will again host this party at
our house in Danville and invite you and your family to come taste our new 2007
Muse Rose as well as some barrel samples of the 2007 wines we have not yet bottled.
Our 2007 red wines are safely tucked away in barrel showing what we feel may be
our finest vintage to date.
If you would like to order these new wines or any of our wines, an order form is
attached. Please either scan or fax it back to us or stick it in the mail. You can
also just respond to this email if that's easier for you. As always, you can find
out what our current releases are by visiting our website at www.odiseawineco.com
where you can also sign up to be a Journey Member - our version of the wine club.
We look forward to sharing these wines with you. Thank you all for your continued
support in helping us realize our dreams and continuing our Journey.
